How to Clean Your Apple Watch in 5 Steps?
Here is our step by step guide on cleaning Apple watch.
1. Remove the Watchband
Your Apple Watch’s band should be taken off in order to begin cleaning it.
Place the watch face down on a smooth, clean surface and remove the band from the watch. Keep the band release buttons depressed. These two buttons are located in the center, where the band and watch meet.
Slide the band out of the way while depressing the release buttons, and then take it off entirely.
2. Remove Grime
Check your Apple Watch carefully for any dirt that may have accumulated in all the hard-to-reach places. Pay close attention to the speaker ports, the area around the button and Digital Crown, and the band slot.
Utilizing the cotton swab, try to dislodge any ingrained dirt from your watch’s crevices. If the dirt won’t budge, try holding your watch under cool, running water to help remove it (but never use soapy water; check Apple’s support page to learn how water-resistant your specific Apple Watch model is). Then attempt the cotton swab once more.
If you feel you can be extra gentle, you can try this technique on the speaker port and around the Digital Crown (as shown in the photo below). Using an interdental brush to clean small spaces on your electronic devices is a great idea, provided you’re extremely careful with it. Use only the brush’s sides; do not use the tip. Additionally, resist the urge to clean your Apple Watch with compressed air.
3. Wipe the Apple Watch Front and Back
Wipe down the front and back of your Apple Watch with one of the two cleaning cloths after wetting it with clean water. Before using the cloth to clean your watch, make sure it is damp but not dripping wet by squeezing out any extra water. You should wipe away any dirt that the brush may have loosened.
Again, it’s crucial to avoid using any soaps or cleaning products when caring for your Apple Watch, and you should especially avoid immersing older models in water.
4. Wipe Or Wash the Apple Watch Band
As long as your Apple Watch band isn’t made of leather, you can clean it with the same damp cloth or even wash it in some mild dish soap. Apple advises against using abrasive soaps or other cleaning solutions to clean its watchbands.
Whether you clean your band or not, over time and with frequent use, its color will fade or change. Again, avoid using cleaning products other than mild hand soap as they will exacerbate fading and discoloration.
5. Dry With Cloth and Reassemble
To dry off the clean areas of your watch, use the dry, lint-free cloth. Make sure your Apple Watch and band are completely dry before reinstalling the band.
Then, holding the band with the letters and numbers facing you, slide each one into the slot until you hear a faint click. This will reassemble your Apple Watch. To do this, place it facedown on a clean surface once more.
